Past Simple Regular Verbs

Past simple is used to describe events that happened in the past.

Actions that are finished in the past like: I visited London last year.

Series of actions completed in the past: First we visited London, then we traveled to Paris.

The trick in past simple is to understand who to change the form of the verb from V1 - the basic form - to V2 - the past simple form. In most cases we just add "ed" at the end of the verb.

There are many irregular (יוצאי דופן) verbs that are totally different in the past tense, and we just have to learn them and memorize them. Learn about the irregular verbs here.

עברית: עבר פשוט משמש לספר על אירועים שהתרחשו בעבר.

פעולות שהסתיימו בעבר כמו "ביקרתי בלונדון בשנה שעברה", או סדרות של פעולות שהסתיימו בעבר כמו "בהתחלה ביקרנו בלונדון, אחר כך נסענו לפאריס".
